Information on Regulated Mortgage Contracts and Consumer Buy to Let Mortgages

Effective 1st February, 2016, The Bank of East Asia, Limited, UK Branch no longer accepts new applications for loans secured by way of a mortgage which would qualify as regulated mortgage contracts (for example, a mortgage that is secured by a charge over a residential property used for residential purposes by the Borrower or the Borrower’s close relatives) or consumer buy-to-let mortgages (for example, a buy-to-let mortgage over a property which you have previously lived in but intend to let it out now).
